SJEE Special Issue: Engineering ecosystems and the development of engineering skills in Africa

Instructions

Authors must register or login to submit a full paper to the SJEE. Please choose 'Special Issue' as an option when submitting your manuscript.

Peer review and ethics
As with regular submissions to the SJEE, the content must not be under consideration at any other journal; if a substantial part of the paper has been published elsewhere, contributors are responsible for securing the necessary permissions. All submissions are screened by the Guest Editorial panel and, if accepted for further consideration, are subject to a double-blind peer-review process managed by a guest editor.

For purposes of blind peer-review, all author and institutional identifiers (including in-article citations) must be removed.

Timeline and revisions
Contributors must be prepared to wait for between 12 and 16 weeks for a final decision on their submission if it is peer reviewed.

Article length
As with regular submissions to the SJEE, article submissions must be between 6000 and 8000 words excluding references and endnotes.

Article style
Article submissions must be written in UK English in accordance with the journal’s style guide which includes a link to a template. Please ensure that you use Times New Roman font, 12pt, 1.5 line spacing. Authors are encouraged to work through the provided pre-submission self-assessment of their papers before they submit.
